Halloween movies are a big deal to a lot of people. Some people like the spooky ones, others like the family friendly ones. No matter if you like wholesome or spooky better for Halloween, there’s movies out there to watch. A lot of families watch movies as a tradition during the holidays.
Freshman McKenzie Schauer
“My favorite movie is The Black Phone 2.” She loves the Black Phone 2 because “I love the actors in it and it’s just so good.” Her favorite part of the movie is when “Robin says hi.” Schauer said it’s her favorite part of the movie because “It makes her happy.” The Black Phone series is about a boy named Finney; everyone who knows him calls him Finney and his sister is named Gwen. Gwen is a psychic who can see past or future events in her dreams involving the dead. Finney can talk to the dead on phones that don’t work for other people. Finney has a best friend named Robbin who defended Finney from people bullying him. The bad guy in the Black Phones name is the Grabber, he is a villain. He kidnaps kids and then abuses them.

Her favorite movie is “Nightmare Before Christmas.” That’s her favorite movie because she enjoys “any part where they’re singing.” The Nightmare Before Christmas is a movie about Jack Skellington, who is the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town. He wants to get rid of Christmas so people will enjoy Halloween more.
Freshman Mia Raines
She said her favorite movie was “Twitches.” Raines said her favorite part of the movie is “when the sisters get reunited because they are long-lost sisters.” Twitches is a movie about two sisters who are witches who were separated at birth. They meet on their 21st birthday and fight to save the world.
Junior Mariane Hogan-Garbes
Mariane said her favorite movie is “Scream” because it’s scary and it’s interesting. Her favorite part of the movie is “finding out who the killer was because it put everything together.” Scream is about a masked killer named Ghostface who frightens high school students in Woodsboro, California.
