More students share summer plans

As summer approaches, students are preparing for a mix of activities that range from work and travel to spending time outdoors and with friends. Many say the break offers a chance to step away from school routines and focus on personal interests.

Some students are planning to spend much of their summer working. “I’m going to be working most days, but I don’t really mind it, ” junior Blake Ellis said. “Having money saved up makes it feel worth it.”

Others are looking forward to more relaxed, social activities. “I want to go to the pool a lot and just hang out with friends,” sophomore May James said. “It feels like summer is the only time everyone is actually free at the same time.”

Another sophomore, Avery Brown, said he is hoping to stay active throughout the break. “I’m planning to do sports training and go on a few trips with my family,” he said. “I like having a mix of staying busy and taking it easy.”

As the school year ends, students say summer is less about strict schedules and more about balancing fun, rest, and responsibilities in their own ways.
