CF band plans pancake breakfast

The Cedar Falls Band Boosters are hosting a all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast on Saturday, Nov. 2 in the CFHS cafeteria. Unlimited pancakes will be sold from 6:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The fundraiser will raise money for CF bands from grades five through 12. Baked goods will also be sold at the event.

The CFHS marching band retired its almost 20-year-old uniforms last year and sported new uniforms this year and some of the money earned at the pancake breakfast will go towards paying off the uniforms, while some of the dividends will also be allocated for all bands in the Cedar Falls District, according to band director Gerald Ramsey. Many individual uniforms were payed for by donors but a large amount remains unsponsored. The marching band performed its season-closer Oct. 24 at the last football game. They also earned all Division I’s at contest this year.

Tickets are $5 and can be ordered from band students. Kids five and under eat free.
