With the new year already begun and 2016 in the past, the new year has allowed people to have a fresh start. Goals can be mental like wanting to receive a grade point average of 4.0 or physical like wanting to hitchhike up a mountain.
Knowing how to set appropriate goals for oneself is crucial because it makes it easier to accomplish the goals and create the right goals that can be obtainable. Keeping the goal going on throughout the year is important, and it pushes people to try their best. There are certain steps that people take that help them keep their goal alive until the end of the year. Here are the steps:
1. Take one goal at a time and do not set too many goals that are not possible.
2. Make the goal important.
3. Plan the goal far in advance and think about what goal is the right fit.
4. Think about what could go wrong while achieving the goal and prevent any problems in the future.
5. Pick a start date to begin, and it does not have to been right when the New Year begins.
6. Go for the goal and do not hesitate to give 100%.
7. If the goal is not met, accept failure and know that failure is OK.
8. Plan rewards for once the goal is met to keep the motivation constant.
Good luck to everyone and Happy New Year!
