Freshmen football fans react to first round of NFL playoffs

The first round of the NFL playoffs has come and gone. Freshmen Jake Kuhn, Wesley Dean and Jace Hudson shared their reactions to the results and predictions heading into the divisional round.

Hudson entered the playoffs with extreme confidence in his team, predicting they would win every game.

“I believe the Packers are going to win the Super Bowl because of our strong defense,” Hudson said. “I believe we could stop anyone.”

However, Hudson’s confidence quickly turned to disappointment after the Packers lost to the Eagles 22-10. Despite the setback, Hudson remains hopeful and is now rooting for another team.

“After the loss, I’m hoping the Rams will beat the Eagles next week and make it to the Super Bowl,” he said.

Dean, another fan of an underdog, predicted the opposite for his team.

“I don’t think the Commanders will make it past the first round,” Dean said. “Jayden Daniels, the Commanders’ rookie quarterback, has no experience with this kind of pressure and will lose immediately.”

To his surprise, the Commanders defeated the Buccaneers 23-20 in the wild-card round. However, Dean remains cautious about his team’s future.

“I still don’t think the Commanders will make it past the Lions, and we’ll get blown out,” he said.

Kuhn, a Texans fan, was initially skeptical about how his team would perform in the playoffs.

“There’s a chance we could beat the Chargers, but I think we’ll lose to the Chiefs,” Kuhn said.

But after the Texans’ impressive 32-12 victory over the Chargers, Kuhn has a newfound optimism.

“I believe if the O-line shows up, we could beat anyone including the Chiefs next week,” he said.

As the divisional round approaches, many fans remain optimistic about their teams’ chances, hoping for exciting matchups and surprising outcomes.
