Hundreds of people from the Cedar Valley gathered on Saturday, Sept. 17 to be a part of the sixth annual Mohair Pear Fair. From jewelry, henna and psychic readings, the Pear Fair had it all. Just over 20 vendors from around the Midwest participated in the Pear Fair this year. The Fair drew a large audience, including children and pets.

One specific vendor, Nicole & Dime, sold handmade jewelry. She has been a vendor all six years. A best seller this year at her booth were her leather and crystal necklaces/chokers. All of her jewelry was very unique and individual.

Something interesting at the Pear Fair this year was the Three Witches booth. At the booth, there were witches that read fortunes, sold gemstone jewelry, as well as oils and cleansing bath products.

To Our Moon and Bath shared a booth with Three Witches, and they sold seasonal jewelry for Halloween.

MachaPoncho made its sixth appearance at the Pear Fair this year too. They are based out of Minneapolis and sell a variety of hats, scarves and mittens, all of which are either crocheted or knitted. MachaPoncho even makes hats that have text on them, as well as baby hats.

The vendors got to keep all of their profits but had to pay a small fee for booth space. Overall, the Pear Fair was a big success and an event that many people look forward to every year.
