The animated sitcom known as The Simpsons has sparked many different happenings, whether it be theme park rides, memes or video games, but none can compare to the strange and equally impressive, Ned Flanders-themed metal band, known as Okilly Dokilly.
The name of the band comes from the animated character, Ned Flanders’ catchphrase in the TV show.
With a quick listen, Okilly Dokilly’s sound can be described as heavy metal, but under further investigation of the bands statements, it is actually described as “Nedal music,” or music inspired by Ned Flanders.
All members of the band, sporting their own Ned Flanders themed names, dress in green sweaters, pink polos, glasses, and are groomed with a brown mustache.
All song names and lyrics are also inspired from The Simpsons, and take many liberties to turn the sound into heavy metal rock music, contrary to the belief of how Ned Flanders is originally perceived.
